Developer Piedmont Land Group says the project would generate $12 million in annual tax revenue for Iredell County.<\/p><p>But residents of nearby neighborhoods have organized opposition, citing traffic concerns on already congested roads. &#8220;We moved here for the small-town feel,&#8221; said longtime resident Carl Honeycutt. &#8220;This kind of development changes the character of our community.&#8221;<\/p><p>The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the proposal next Thursday at City Hall.
